Birthday Wishlist!

So as it's my birthday in less than a week (AHH) I thought I'd share some of the things that I've asked for / am hoping for :)

First is the naked 3 palette.  The colours in this are so so gorgeous and even the packaging is equally beautiful.  However, at £37 it's not something I can justify buying on my own!
Another thing I've been loving is these flatform converse style shoes from New Look.  I've been into about 7 different New Look stores now and looked for them online too but they never have the right size!  I'm hoping that someone else will spot them in my size and maybe buy me them ;)

This tea tree water from Lush is also on my birthday list.  It's been recommended to me by multiple people and all of the reviews I've read on it are amazing too so I'd really like to try it :)  Anything else from Lush would be greatly appreciated though haha!

I recently went on a trip to Ikea and saw these cute little cactuses however I couldn't buy them at the time so they're now on my birthday list!
I have way more nail polishes than I need but I recently saw these in Boots and they are too gorgeous to resist! It's the Barry M aquarium collection with two-tone glistening polishes and glitter top coats.  So pretty!

Yankee candles are my favourites, the scents are amazing and last for so long.  Pink hibiscus is one of the spring scents for 2014 and I love it so that is on my wishlist even though I know I won't get it due to my excessive candle collection already haha!
So that is some of the things I'm hoping to get for my birthday or sometime soon!

Hair - before and after!

For the past 3 years I have been growing my hair out, occasionally getting the ends trimmed but nothing more than that. However I fancied a change fringe-wise so headed off to the hairdresser for the usual trim and also to get a full fringe cut in!  I haven't had a full fringe since I was about 13 so it will take some time to get used to it but I think I like it haha :)

left - before // right - after

I got about an inch taken off the bottom of my hair and I think it makes such a difference getting the wispy ends cut off, it makes your hair look thicker and healthier :)

As you can see from the photos, my hair was blow dried and straightened at the hairdresser, it's not naturally like that! :(

Everyday makeup

My daily make up routine has been highly requested since I started my blog so I thought today I would finally get round to it :)

To start with, I apply my all in one BB cream from the body shop in the shade '00' using my real techniques expert face brush.  This BB cream is my new favourite base!  It is usually super hard for me to get a foundation that is pale enough due to my vampire complexion but this comes out white and then blends to your skin tone, so as long as you blend it in as soon as you put it on, it matches perfectly.

Next I apply my collection lasting perfection concealer in the shade 'fair' under my eyes and on any blemishes.  This concealer is quite good coverage and it's is only around £4 which is such a good price! I use the Barbara Daly pointed foundation brush to blend this in.

Since I want my makeup to stay matte all day, I lightly apply my Rimmel stay matte powder using a kabuki brush. This powder is another amazing product which is only around £4. I have it in transparent so I don't have to worry about it not being the right colour for my skin tone.

After this, I use my real techniques blush brush to apply the blush out of the sleek face form kit on the apples of my cheeks.  This blush is a gorgeous rose gold colour that gives it a lovely shimmer while still looking natural.

Moving onto eyes, I start by applying my maybelline colour tattoo in the shade 'on and on bronze'.  I use my ring finger to apply it all over the lid because that is the finger that will apply least pressure to your eye and then blend the edges using a small fluffy brush.

I then curl my eyelashes and apply my collection extreme felt tip liner.  I love this eyeliner as it is so much easier to use than liquid/gel linerin my opinion and it stays on all day!  I then apply the rocket mascara to my bottom lashes and soap and glory's 'thick and fast' mascara to the top ones.  I really didn't like this mascara at first because it has quite a wet consistency and the wand was massive but it gives my lashes so much volume that I've learned to love it and now use it every day.  I sometimes apply white pencil eyeliner to my waterline and inner corner but didn't include that today.

And that's it!  Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading :) x
